    Hi,everyone.

I have downloaded several Sentinel-1 images, then I made radiometric terrain correction and convert DN value to dB. The first mosaic is made by using of two processed images in ENVI. and land area is also be removed. The masked mosaic output's size is about 4.8 G, and then two masked mosaic images( one individual mosaic image size is about 4.8G) are be made second mosaic. However, the process is very slowly this time. About 17 hours later, the mosaic is only about 75%.

My question is that the mosaic time of two images which size is only about 4.8G in ENVI is still not completed after 17 hours is a normal phenomenon or an unnormal phenomenon? If it is a normal phenomenon, then the reason is what?

Thanks for your attention and your reply in advance.

Are you performing a lot of feathering and color balancing? I have seen significant slowness when processing hyperspectral images in the Seamless mosaic tool but for single and images with a few bands, it is usually quite performant. The size is somewhat large at 4.5GB but 17 hours seems too long. I would suggest you try the georeferenced Mosaic tool from ENVI Classic to see if it performs better with your images.

    Thanks for your suggestions.
Yes, I performed the feather and color balancing, because I think color balancing is necessary due to the acquiring time and attitude angle of different images are not coincident.
On the other hand,I have tried the mosaic widget in ENVI classic and the File Map prjection Conversion is also slowly.

But I still thanks for your help.
